Many chains use a master link that allows the chain to be installed and removed by hand. While master links don't require traditional chain tools, over time, dirt and corrosion can make it difficult to separate them by hand. The CRS-15.2 uses two different insert rings to install bearing races on the 1.5-inch and 1-1/4-inch forks. The bearing surface is spared a direct hit by using aluminum inserts. Using a hammer, tap firmly on the end cap of the tube and seat the race into its proper place safely and accurately. Included extension allows work on fork steering tubes up to 425mm. - SHIS terminology: The CRS-15 services crown races in SHIS 33 and 40.

Park's Offset Brake Wrench utilizes a unique design that allows it to reach into tight areas that other wrenches cannot. Park Tool's 692 Left-Hand Bottom Bracket Tap is a 1.370" x 24 TPI replacement tap for the BTS-1 Bottom Bracket Tap Set. This tap is used on the drive side (right side) of the bike. This side of the bottom bracket uses a counter-clockwise or left-hand thread. Note: It is very important to have sharp and accurate cutting tools for effective tapping and thread-chasing. Using an excessively worn or damaged tap can cause permanent damage to the frame and/or bottom bracket.

Park Tool's Crown Race Cutter Adaptor is used in conjunction with the CRC-1 Crown Race Cutting Tool (sold separately) to machine 39.8mm crown race seats (1.5” standard) on tapered forks with 1-1/8” steerer tubes.
